  • Which musical instruments can you play?
  • What type of music do you love and hate?
  • Who is your favourite singer/group?
  • When do you listen to music?
  • Have you ever been to a live concert?

SLIDE 3: READING

There are six primary parts to a song (find the definitions in the article below):

  • Intro. Like the beginning of a film or novel, a song introduction should catch the listener's attention. ...
  • Verse. The verse of a song is a chance to tell a story. ...
  • Pre-chorus. Although optional, a pre-chorus helps to heighten the impact of the chorus. ...
  • Chorus. ...
  • Bridge. ...
  • Outro.
    • Look for a song and:
      • a) Copy and paste the link on your slide so that you can watch it (Menu: Add Video).
      • b) Then Copy an paste the lyrics and highlight the rhyme (use different colours).
      • c) Identify the different parts: intro, verse, bridge, chorus, coda/outro (look up the definition of these words in music)
    • Find a brief biography of the artist/band and a picture. You can include some LPs covers.
