 From: https://www.listenandlearnusa.com/blog/grammar-adjective-order-english/

English can prove to be one of the hardest languages to grasp for many reasons, and one of those reasons is the way that adjectives are used.

In this article, we take a look at the rules concerning adjectives in the English language, and why they are considered illogical for many non-English speaking cultures.

The order of adjectives is important in the English language. Not only are they always placed in front of nouns they modify, but there is also specific order to their placement. This order is known as the ‘Royal Order of Adjectives,’ according to The Editor’s Blog, and is as follows:

  • General opinion
  • Specific opinion
  • Size
  • Shape (square, round)
  • Age
  • Color (red, black, white)
  • Nationality
  • Material (wooden, brick)

So, for example, adjectives pertaining to size precede adjectives pertaining to age, which generally precede adjectives pertaining to color.

Based on these rules, in English you would say:
One (quantity), beautiful (opinion), small (size), round (shape), old (age), pink (colour), leather (material) bag.

WRITING:Describe your outfit in 3 paragraphs. Use: Present simple / present continuous ; on the one hand; on the other hand.

SPEAKING: It's shooow time! Fashion show:

Get ready to walk like the model you are on the catwalk and describe your outfit to the rhythm of the music. Pose pose pose

EUROSCOLA: making of (2017)

Here you have the video of our making of...

  •  First we did a brainstorming with ideas and we were worried about Brexit, refugees crisiis and our future.
  • Then we designed a storyboard on the blackboard with a storyline. The plot will be given by the concepts of generations we have learbt in class.
  • Next we created the outfits and make up to dress according to the decade and we will hold a sign with a set of values of the EU. We also incorporate the cap and flag tehy sent us from the Office Europe Direct.
  • After that we recorded and edited the video, choosing the music and effects and solve problems for uploading.
  • Finally we will share it in our school blog as well and local media in Badalona like the Radio marathon.

ESO4: London Fashion Week!

UNIT 1: LONDON FASHION!

Welcome to London! Have a look to this video: a girl is arriving from the United States to visit her friends in England and they go on a typical double-decker (a bus with two floors) tour.

CULTURE: Task 1 proposed by the British Council webpage: what sights can you recognize? (Number them on your map at the end of your dossier!)

Optional: Task 2 and 3. LISTENING
Watch again and notice the clothes these four youngsters wear.

1-What are they wearing?
2-How would you describe their style? Formal, casual, old-fashioned, trendy...

Pay attention to the "missunderstanding" on their clothes: in the UK "Pants" typically refers to underwear. In other parts of the world, notably the USA, "pants" refers to trousers.

Let's learn more about fashion in the capital of England: CANDEM TOWN, the birth place of Punk! http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en/word-street/camden
Have you ever heard of this part of London?

SPEAKING:
Act out a dialogue going shopping for some clothes or footwear. You can also bargain on the price! Reference: http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en/word-street/camden-scene-2 and language focus. Try to include:
-Can I try this on?
-Can I have it in ... size? (sizes: S M L XL) [small, medium, large, extra large]
-Do you have it in blue (colour)?
-How much is it?
-Is there any discount?

READING:
Make teams and organize your own catwalk and fashion show! You can have some tips here:
http://www.wikihow.com/Organize-a-Fashion-Show

WRITING:
Get some magazines, choose your models and describe their physical appearance and what they are wearing in detail.

VOCABULARY REVISION: Can you add more clothes? Footwear? And complements?

ESO4: Unit 1 (2012-13). London Fashion.

Welcome to the trendy city of London. Walking throughout the capital of England, we'll visit some of its monuments along the Thames River and we'll go shopping to posh malls such as Harrods and to street markets like Camden Market. You will also discover the history of the Punks: they usually wear scruffy clothes and have dyed hair, tattoos and piercings. Then, you will have to describe your favourite celebrities: are they trendy or old-fashioned? Do they dress elegantly or with smart-casual clothes? Finally... why don't we organize a fashion show? Practise your catwalking and look for accessories just in case ;)
